Learn about Extra Help

Medicare beneficiaries who have limited resources and income may be able to get Extra Help, a government financial assistance program that helps pay for Medicare Part D costs. If you qualify for Extra Help, you will receive either a full or partial subsidy, depending on your income and assets. Many beneficiaries qualify for some level of Extra Help, even if they exceed income limits.

The Extra Help program can help you pay for:

  • Your monthly Medicare Part D plan premium
  • Copays
  • Coinsurance amounts

The tables below show you what your monthly premium for a Journey Rx Value or Standard plan would cost based on the four standard levels of assistance available. Each chart shows different amounts which are based on your service area.
