A message from Journey Rx on COVID-19

Jouney Rx is closely monitoring the spread of the novel coronavirus and the disease it causes, COVID-19, to determine how it could affect our members, employees and the communities that we serve.

Just as we prepare for weather situations such as hurricanes and floods, we have contingency plans in place to ensure our members have access to the care and medications they need. We will follow U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), federal and state recommendations regarding the coronavirus.

Jouney Rx has increased access to prescription medications by waiving early medication refill limits to allow you to receive an emergency supply of your medications. We also encourage you to talk to your retail pharmacy about home delivery options or use your mail order benefit to obtain up to a 90-day supply. Journey Rx will also ensure formulary flexibility if there are prescription medication shortages or access issues.

COVID-19 scam alert

There is a new Medicare scam that is quickly developing in the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak. Some people are getting scam marketing calls with the caller offering free COVID-19 testing in exchange for insurance information. There are also reports that people claiming to be from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) are going door-to-door to conduct COVID-19 testing and requesting insurance information.

Anyone who contacts you about COVID-19 testing who isn't part of your current care team (doctors, pharmacists, etc.) could be conducting a scam. If you think you've been contacted as part of a scam, please immediately report this to Medicare.
